Collecting of visitor statistics
I’m monitoring the visitors of this website using a program called Piwik. It locally stores data about those visitors, like length of visit, which pages have been viewed and what country the reader is coming from. Those are only visible to me alone and nobody else has access to those statistics.
I took great care to meet the recommendations given by the German state Schleswig-Holstein. This document has been the most trustworthy instance in regards to a moderate usage of visitor data and storage of those.
The recorded data is important to me as it allows me to see how many people are interested in my blog and where they are coming from. That way I can adjust my website according to the preferences of my visitors and react to changing reader behaviour.
Thus all the data is for me only and collected in the interested of each individual reader but if you do not want to be tracked anymore, just hook the small box below. When activating it, the already existing cookie will be deleted and you will be able to visit my website anonymously from now on.
The following disclaimer’s have been loosely translated by myself. The sole purpose of this translation is to give international readers the possibility to understand the general content of the disclaimers. When interacting with one of the Plugins (e.g. using the like button of commeting using your Facebook profile) the corresponding information will be sent from your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. If you are not a member of Facebook, it might still be possible for Facebook to learn about your IP address and save it.
Please gather any information about purpose and extent of this data collection, the further use and processing of your data by Facebook, as well as your rights and possible actions to protect your privacy in this regard from the data protection notice from Facebook.
Given you are a member of Facebook and you do not want Facebook to collect data about you and connect it to your account, you will have to log out before visiting my web presence.
Likewise it is possible to block Facebook Social Plugins using browser add-ons, e.g. the “Facebook Blocker”.
